Medication-Assisted Treatment
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is available for individuals seeking medication support as part of their recovery plan. Clients interested in MAT can complete a psychiatric evaluation to determine eligibility for services. When approved, medication may be provided and administered on site by a psychiatric provider as part of ongoing treatment.
Clients who are already receiving MAT through an outside provider may be eligible to continue treatment while consolidating medication management within one location.
In some cases, care may remain collaborative with outside providers to support continuity of treatment and coordinated planning. MAT services may include treatment for alcohol dependence, such as Vivitrol, for individuals who are able to abstain from alcohol in an outpatient setting prior to initiation. Clients should not be actively drinking at the time of initial Vivitrol administration.
